About Captain Dan...I can remember like it was yesterday. I was just a little guy at the time. I was looking at a big fish at Michigan’s famous “Fish Town.” I asked the guy what kind of fish it was. He told me it was a “King Salmon.” On that day, I became addicted to Salmon fishing before I even had caught one. When my Dad bought me my first Truck, I was headed up north fishing just about every single weekend. Then I got into college and if I was not in class of coarse, I was on the river or the Great Lakes. I basically live on the rivers chasing salmon and steelhead. I would walk the rivers every summer looking for that first Chinook of the year. I often tell people I went to college to become a fisherman. Since then, I have guided Salmon trips on the world famous Kenai River in Alaska and also guided deer hunts in a high fence ranch. I have also taught snowboarding at Crystal Mountain. I majored in Outdoor Recreation at Central Michigan University. Now I am running Chromeseekers fromAugust to March and working for Lakeside Fishing Charters in the summer. I am very patient and laid back with my guest. I love to talk fishing with just about everyone. Being on the water is my passion and I call it my healthy drug. It would be my pleasure to share a day on the river with you. I will teach you all that I know and try to get you into as many fish as possible. This is your day on the water and I will do everything I can to send you home with stories and fish to share with friends and family. |
